Inspiration Workshop {bathroom}

This week's inspiration workshop by Gussy Sews is all about bathrooms! I thought this would be the perfect time for me to post some pictures of my dream.....a bathtub. Our master bath just has a big shower and our guest bath upstairs has a bathtub straight out of the 1920's - which means TINY. I miss having a bathtub SO bad and hope one day if we add on to this house we can make that dream a reality. Until then.....I shall dream

Indie Craft Parade

Oh my goodness what a wonderful thing to wake up to yesterday! I got accepted in Indie Craft Parade in Greenville, SC. I seriously wasn't expecting it at all after hearing how amazing the show was last year and how everyone was talking about how hard it would be to get in this year. Over 350 people applied and they only accepted under 100! EEEK! I am so beyond excited!

The show is September 9-11 and looks like it is going to be an awesome show! So definitely go here and check out more details. Now it is off to work for me :)

Project 52 {weektwentyfive}

I am over the storms.....I used to love thunderstorms and now they just make me anxious. How can all of this be in the course of a few days? Don't worry I wasn't driving in any of these :)

Inspiration Workshop {playday}

This Week's Inspiration Workshop was all about taking a day to play. Thanks to Gussy for the prompt. I am loving everything from week to week! This week I was lucky enough to have my friend Amy's awesome camera.....I may have kept it a little too long, but I have been taking LOTS of fun pictures :) Here are a few collages of some of my favorites. I feel like I play everyday - I love my work, so it feels like play for me. And my fur babies are always included in the fun! Also I have been making lots of felt flower and pom pom arrangements - what a great time to have this fancy camera to play with :)

meet Cricket :) our dear friends Beth & Rich's cat. She loved me this week and wanted to go home with me because I made her pom poms.....that is the way to a cats heart :)

Inspiration Workshop {green}

This week's Gussy Sews inspiration workshop is all about green! And anyone that knows me knows that besides pink - green is my color! I mean I even had my logo made green :)

So this week I chose 3 green inspirations.

1st Succulents - I am in love with all succulents - we need to plant more in our yard. But oh my goodness if I had this many - this photo is to DIE FOR!

Project 52 {weektwentythree}

On Sunday I had two special ladies in town - we treated ourselves to a yummy dinner at Easy Bistro I ate very healthy - but then we decided for dessert we would have fries! It was perfect....and began a very long, crazy, fun evening! Later my evening concluded with a trip to Alan Golds (our local gay bar) and Krystals.....lets just say Monday was spent in bed :)

Inspiration Workshop {kitchen}

This weeks inspiration workship (thanks to the lovely Gussy) is all about kitchens. Anyone that knows me knows I don't cook :( that is all the hubby. But I do love kitchens. I thought I would go the light airy, rustic route.

horrible camera phone photo...but hilarious no matter what. My awesome in-laws eating take out on a wonderful relaxing sunday night. I am so thankful for these two ;) Anyone would be lucky to call them "mom and dad" LOVE YOU GUYS!

Inspiration Workshop {handmade}

I decided to take on another blog challenge. This time I am excited to be a part of Gussy Sews Inspiration Workshop. Each week we have a new prompt to find something that inspires us. This week was handmade, which sounds easy but with places like Pinterest you can see how the inspiration kind overflows. So I chose crewel embroidery, I am so in love with this style of embroidery and would love to learn all the stitches. So I searched on Pinterest for crewel work and these are my favorites. Enjoy! Happy 1st Birthday Olive

Hard to believe our youngest fur baby is 1 today! Olive is the best birthday gift I have ever received! Special thanks to my momma and daddy bob for my Olive. Olive came about when we had just lost an adoption and was the perfect therapy for us. So glad she is part of our crazy world.
