Long Weekend

Well - note to self check about town's gas supply before doing a show there! Didn't realize that Dalton had no gas - should have check that. Definitely didn't make for a great show - I still had a good time, there was just no one out! EEK! Goodness I hope this gas crisis gets better soon! For everyone's sake!

After that long day - I headed to Lenoir City, TN with my hubby and fur baby for my husband's triathlon Atomic Man. We stayed the night and woke up SUPER early, especially for me and headed over to see my hubby do his first triathlon in 12 years. Corey did great - he finished which was his goal. Especially since the last 2 weeks we have both been sick...and it isn't gone yet, still lingering. It is definitely better, but didn't help my hubby's performance.

So we got back last night - and I am beat today - not sure how much I will get done :) I am pooped! You would have thought I did the triathlon!

Here are some pics from the triathlon! xoxo
My fave pic of the day!
Patiently waiting to take off - yes it was that foggy - the race was postponed 30 minutes trying to wait for the fog to lift!
Starting the run - after the bike ride.
Nellie patiently waiting...
Nellie real excited to see her daddy finish!
The finish line - Go Corey Go! I am real proud of you!

Beautiful Afternoon

Pardon the bad photo - but this is the life. Sitting outside on my front porch with my laptop on a beautiful day, eating Sour Gummy Worms (thanks to my dear friend Brittany for the surprise) listening to my new CD Estelle all while my fur baby lays by my side. Could it get any better?

Pen and Ink Calligraphy

What a delight - a few weeks back my new friend (through a friend)Lisa of Pen and Ink Calligraphy ordered two custom flowers to use with her beautiful calligraphy. So today she sent me a link to her blog with gorgeous pics of our work together. I think we make a great team!

Here is a link to her blog - here is a link to the gallery on her website and here is a link to her etsy shop so you can buy goodies of you own!

Thanks again Lisa for coming up with the idea - hope to work with you more in the future!

My bday earrings

I mentioned that my friend Stacie Florer gave me a pair of earrings at the hunter museum show we both did - however I never showed you picks. So here is a pic - she said they reminded her of me because she thought they looked like buttons. How thoughtful - and they worked perfectly for the wedding I went to last weekend! Thanks again Stacie! XOXO

It All Started With A Mouse

So this past weekend I had the honor of spending my birthday weekend with my Disney Friends on the Jersey Shore for a wedding- Disney friends you ask? Well 11 years ago I was lucky enough to work at Walt Disney World on the College Program. It was one of the best summers of my life - and since then I have stayed in touch with all my friends. We get together for trips, weddings, etc. We always have the best time and always wish the next time could be sooner. I never knew that a few months of my life could give me some of the best friends I would ever know. In honor of Disney - I have found a few treats on etsy that remind me of my disney days! xoxo

Great way to start off my show season!

So my first show at Hunter Museum went wonderfully - I met fabulous people from all over the country and got to hang out with new and old artsy friends!

I was set up right next to my friend Lisa Norris of Made by One Girl and really close to my friend Stacie Florer (who gave me a beautiful pair of earrings for my bday, that I will have to add pics of later).

I took a few pics - but didn't get great photos of our beautiful space. They couldn't have picked a more beautiful location. So overall it was a fun night, met great people and got fabulous feedback on my work all while selling lots of fun new stuff!

After the show - I headed home to pack for our trip to the jersey shore for a friends wedding. We were on Long Beach Island for one of my disney friend's weddings (I worked at disney 11 years ago, and still keep up with my friends I made there - they are actually some of my best friends) - so I had a wonderful birthday weekend - the only bad part is I brought home a cold! No fun...so I am off to nurse a cold. Have a great week! xoxo

My first show of the fall season

I was asked to be a part of Tennessee Arts Commissions 2008 Assembly's welcome reception featuring 17 local artists.

My favorite part is that the artists tables will be set up at Hunter Museum in Chattanooga, TN - which is such a beautiful area of our city.

Along with Ivey Handcrafted - my friends Stacie Florer and Lisa Norris will be there also.

So if you are out and about in the Chattanooga area this Thursday, September 11th - come by and see us. 6:30 - 8:00 pm outside of Hunter Museum.

My New Dwelling

Okay so I did it again! Petite House had a shop update and I saw a pic of the little red roof dwelling and I just had to have it...so I waited patiently and I got it!!! So I now am officially a collector of Petite House - with 2 little dwellings.

Here are my two little dwellings together:

Now I just have to get one of her jar dwellings - I missed it when it went on sale! UGH! But I am a definite fan of Petite House and you must check out her other shop Jessica Jane

Happy 5th Birthday Rigby

We celebrated my sweet nephew Rigby's birthday over the weekend (today is his actual big day) and I wanted to help out with the gift bags for all his friends. So together with the help of my friend Lynda of Another Sassy! Product I made some cute little Happy 5th Birthday Rigby magnets.

They were a hit - and I wanted to share the pics with you guys - because I just loved them! I used old book pages for the packaging :)
